Science / inquiry

            Week five
                              Flight
This week we are working on flight. The things I learnt was that flying and gliding are different things because flying is controlled and needs all four forces. The four Forces are drag, weight, thrust and lift but when you are gliding it is un controlled. I wonder why this is? I learnt that thrust is a force required to move a plane through the air. Also that drag is a force that acts against thrust and slows the plane down. I already knew all the four forces and the rest is new for me . My data gathering is between extended abstract and relational because I have told the reader what I learnt and what I already know

                  Week four
                       Catapult
In week four we did catapult. I observed that the more you put in the catapult the ball went further. I wonder why this made it go further? Something else I noticed is that we put a hockey ball in and it didn't go as far. I wonder why this happened? I also wonder why the string is very easy to pull science there are so many waits in the catapult. I think my data gathering is relational because I have told you my wonders .

                    Week three
                           Rocket Balloon
In week three I was away sick but I predicted that using paper in the rocket balloon would slow the process down a bit because paper is heavy. It would pull the balloon down but I'm not really sure if this is how it went because these are just predictions. Also the straw pulls it across so I'm not sure if

                Week 2
                 The rocket balloon
In week two we experimented with balloon rocket balloon . I did this experiment with Anne. The equipment Anne and I used was a long strip of wool, 2 chairs and 2 straws. The way we set up the balloon rocket is that we put two chairs opposite each other, then Anne and I tied the string up and taped the
Straw to the balloon we then blew the balloon up and set it free I don't think we put enough air pressure in the balloon the first time because it just farted but when we blew more air into it it shoot out like a Rocket. I would put myself at relations because I learnt a lot of things and at the same time it was super fun

                 Week one
                 Slimeing Mr Anderson

I walked inside the classroom and it wasn't how it was usually was, I was all confused. There was a bucket with some water and some cornflour. I was wondering to myself are we doing a volcano experiment. Then I asked Miss Smith “what are we  doing” apparently we were making slime to throw over Mr Anderson. I was super excited. We experiment with a lot of water and a little bit of cornflour. Then we tried another one, and we put a lot of water and a lot of cornflour. I think the best slime we made was probably the one with a little bit of water, and a little bit of cornflour. I think that because it looked fluffy and smooth. When I heard  Miss Smith say “It’s time to go to the hall.” I was bursting with excitement. The classes started pouring there slime on Mr Anderson some were thicker than others. I wonder which one was the worst slime for Mr Anderson, it must have been cold, sticky, slimy and yuck. I would put myself on multistructural on the rubrics because I felt like I have put a lot of effort into the slime and learnt a lot.
